Maguro Fine Asian Cuisine in Bayreuth

Best sushi place in Bayreuth! Excellent sushi, good selection and a very nice restaurant. Not cheap in terms of price, but the quality is right!

Absolutely the best Asian food you can get in Bayreuth. Everything is freshly cooked and therefore intolerance and allergies can be taken into account. I love the food and order it up and down during Corona. Absolute recommendation!

Maguro is the insider tip in Bayreuth when it comes to Asian cuisine. From delicious Suhsi, crispy meat from the grill and spicy curry to classic (noodle) soups, everything is on offer. You can taste the fresh preparation! I've really tried everything, come here, it's definitely worth it! Thank you, we'd love to come back!

Shortly before the new lockdown, we went to the Maguro for the first time. We were served friendly and quickly. The food was very good! We can especially recommend the mango salad. We are happy to have discovered this restaurant. However, there is still criticism and therefore not 5 stars: A little quiet background music would be nice, also to cover up the loud kitchen noises. In addition, the owners should think about a better ventilation system, in the restaurant there is the haze from the kitchen and inevitably the clothes smell very unpleasant after the visit.

Please do yourself the favor and avoid going here. I’m regularly eating Asian food and I can tell you from every experience I ever had that this one was the worst so far. Once we entered, we got our reserved table very quickly, but that’s where the word “quickly” will appear for the very last time. No one gave us a menu, or asked for ordering drinks, neither for food. For each of these things, we had to reach out to them to ask someone for serving us. I’m fine with waiting for food too, but one hour for some semi warmed up Edamame (some have been cold which lets me assume they have been heated up in the microwave) is simply too much. Then, we needed to wait again more than half an hour for our main dishes, which have been a pure disappointment. We have ordered some vegetarian sushi rolls with Pumpkjn instead of shrimps, but instead we got them with some other kind of fish, even tough the waiter explicitly mentioned the pumpkin while serving them. The ramen was one of the worst I ever ate. The eggs are not cured but plain, the broth tastes like nothing but sour and the noodles are waaaay to thick. Also, the duck hasn’t been cut properly, which makes it super hard to eat with sticks. The waiter seem nice, but I already felt like they’re not even working here because we have been left out any time. Therefore, please, do yourself the favor and save the money - I promise you that if you buy your Ramen as an instant soup, you’ll have more pleasure and joy.

Recently we were there spontaneously with a short-term reservation. The food and presentation are excellent, and the location is also quite nice. The only point of criticism: the service is massively overwhelmed. You waited about 1 hour for food and 30 minutes for cocktails and when the orders came, the service had to come back every time to ask which dish / drink was which. Napkins were unfortunately only added to the main course, although they would have been necessary for edamame for the starter. Certainly not cheap in terms of price, but definitely close to Wagaya standards in terms of sushi quality. We would love to come back!

I can only agree with the previous speaker, Mr Koller. Apparently we went to this restaurant on the same day. We also found that the service left a lot to be desired. We were also served by two young, unfriendly and completely disinterested men. We only received cutlery and napkins after we asked for them. The cutlery was then slammed onto the table in a bundle. Have never experienced anything like it. The distance specifications for the tables were not adhered to, this bothered us very much. The food we ordered was not a culinary revelation, but it was okay, the duck breast was even very good and crispy, the curries unfortunately only lukewarm. The ambience is a matter of taste - we didn't feel very comfortable there, especially since the staff made us feel not welcome. No trace of Asian hospitality.

Reasonable price-quantity ratio, Very tasty and friendly staff. Waiting times are sometimes a little longer, but that doesn't matter at all because the atmosphere is very pleasant. Have been to eat several times now.

Very, very tasty and beautifully decorated restaurant. We were able to get a table without a reservation and the food was great!

The food was great, had different types of sushi, starters and a duck dish. Everything was unreservedly recommended and very good. However, the service was not good! The 2 young waiters were overwhelmed ... the drinks were empty for a very long time, there weren't any napkins at first, etc. The distance between the seats and the other table was also not right, it was a maximum of 60cm ... so I wouldn't go there again

This was my first visit and I came with a friend. We were actually looking for another place, but are happy we made it here. The place is nicely decorated with a more modern look. The lunch special menu has a good variety on it and is a great bargain. I recommend this place to come get your sushi craving fulfilled.

Very good and healthy food. It is made with fresh ingredients and no glutamate used. The portions are plentiful and therefore the price is very reasonable. I can recommend the restaurant after our first visit with a clear conscience.
